Governor Kristi Noem

Governor Kristi Noem
Saturday Morning's General Session Keynote Speaker

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem shares many commonalities with Conklin Owner, Chief Executive Officer, and President Charles W. Herbster: Both are lifelong ranchers, farmers, and small business owners. Most importantly, both Governor Noem and Mr. Herbster have a deep love for their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In 2010, after serving in the South Dakota Legislature for several years, she was elected to serve as South Dakota's lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives. During her time in Congress, in addition to many other successes, Governor Noem helped pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which put $2,400 back in the pockets of the average South Dakota family.

In 2018, with the platform of protecting South Dakotans against tax increases, government growth, federal intrusion, and government secrecy, she was elected as South Dakota's first-ever female governor.

Despite all of this, Governor Noem often says that her greatest accomplishment is raising her three children, Kassidy, Kennedy, and Booker, with her husband, Bryon.

You won't want to miss this remarkable session as Governor Noem shares her inspirational message.

Distributors will be able to listen to special musical performances on Friday and Saturday evening at Conklin National Convention.

The Ball Brothers

The Ball Brothers
Friday Night's President's Celebration

With over 100 million views online, The Ball Brothers are the next big thing in Christian music. Whether you know them from their viral video "It's About the Cross" or have seen them featured on Facebook Watch's fastest-growing show "Legendary Vocals," The Ball Brothers have continued their calling with over 150 live shows a year, highlighted by a No. 1 song on the iTunes Christian Chart.

The Ball Brothers are comprised of two brothers, Andrew and Daniel Ball, along with brother-in-law Chad McCloskey, and newcomer Rhett Roberts. Since their formation in 2006, The Ball Brothers have rapidly made their mark in Christian music by finding a musical balance between the old and the new. You will enjoy a mix of musical styles, melted together by tight, four-part harmony. Their goal is to spread the message of the Gospel and encourage believers. During Saturday night's Gala Awards Banquet, Distributors will enjoy songs that are message-driven and theologically sound, including a music mix of Gospel, pop, and patriotic themes.

"We're not interested in promoting ourselves as 'rock stars,'" shares lead vocalist Daniel Ball. "We're interested in showing everyone how God can use 'normal' people for His honor and glory."

The Ball Brothers thrive in a balanced ministry, carving out a sound and approach that is uniquely their own. Regardless of your age or musical preference, The Ball Brothers invite you to see and hear the difference in their music during the President's Celebration Friday night at Conklin National Convention.

Jordan Smith

Jordan Smith
Saturday Night's Gala Awards Banquet

Get ready to be entertained like never before! Conklin has the unique pleasure of featuring Jordan Smith, the Season 9 winner of “The Voice” television program, for our Saturday evening Gala Banquet.

In 2015, Jordan showed the world his musical gift when he became the best-selling artist in the history of “The Voice.” Not only did he move 1.5 million singles in six months, he also launched eight songs to the iTunes Top 10 Chart—the first artist from any season of the program to hit iTunes’ Top 10 every single week during the live rounds on “The Voice.” Jordan became one of only two artists on “The Voice” to notch three No. 1 placements during the show’s season, while he was also the first act to own both the No. 1 and No. 2 titles concurrently on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs Chart.

As a singer and performer, Jordan has certainly come a long way from his native Harlan, Kentucky. From humble beginnings in the close-knit down, Jordan found himself surrounded by music at home. He constantly sang with his family, whether harmonizing in the car with his mom or singing in the church choir.

In high school, Jordan’s music teacher noticed his talent and encouraged him with one-on-one training and a place to practice. After graduation, he attended college, pursuing a major in Music Business. In 2014, he decided to audition for “The Voice” following years of being a fan of the show, but was not selected that year. “I was a bit disappointed,” explained Jordan, “I thought I was meant to be a part of it. It just wasn’t the right time.” The right time came a year later when a talent scout for “The Voice” contacted him. Jordan made it on the show, joining Grammy Award-winning recording artist and pop star Adam Levine’s team and eventually emerging as the 2015 winner.

Since winning “The Voice,” Jordan has collaborated with Grammy Award-winning and Emmy Award-winning producers to record three studio albums.

Jordan’s powerhouse delivery and expansive range are instantly identifiable. You’ll be both stunned and amazed by his performance when he shares his musical gifts with Conklin.

Watch some of Jordan's defining moments on Season 9 of "The Voice."

Mary Millben

Mary Millben
Saturday Night's Gala Awards Banquet

American actress and singer, Helen Hayes Award nominee, and musical recording artist Mary Millben has been one of Oklahoma’s best-kept secrets—until now. For Mary, singing in church started it all. Referred to as a "songbird,” at a young age, Mary quickly overcame stage fright when repeatedly called on to sing in church by her mother—now a retired music pastor and former classical soprano. Thanks to her mother, who raised Mary and her siblings as a divorced single parent, it was just a matter of time before this preacher's kid would go from the plains of the Midwest to the stages of the world.

Through high school and college, Mary proudly represented the state of Oklahoma in public arenas as a young leader—thrust in front of U.S. presidents, world figures, and corporate America as a voice for those under-represented. Mary was the presidential runner-up at the American Legion Auxiliary 1999 Girls Nation, gubernatorial runner-up at Oklahoma Girls State, and the Oklahoma delegate at the 1998 Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) World Congress in Washington, D.C. In college, Mary was elected the second African-American female Student Body President and the first African-American female Vice- President at the University of Oklahoma (OU)—governing 30,000 students.

Making her way to Washington, D.C., Mary served as a White House intern and White House Presidential Appointee to George W. Bush, wearing diverse hats as a junior staffer. But most of all, it was Washington, D.C., that gave Mary her start at a professional career in music. Thanks to the generosity of President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, while serving The White House, Mary regularly performed for White House Christmas parties and tours, private political functions, and even debuted with the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Kennedy Center) with the late Marvin Hamlisch, who later served as a mentor to Mary.

Recently, Mary was named to Ideagen’s® 2020 Power 10 List of Global Leaders Empowering Women & Girls. Along with Mary, the 2020 Power 10 List included Viola Davis, Oscar-, Emmy-, and Tony-Award-winning actress; Melinda Gates, co-founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Kate Johnson, Microsoft U.S. President; and Adena Friedman, CEO of Nasdaq; among other notable female leaders.

Mary has been a featured soloist at notable arenas including The White House, U.S. Congress, Off-Broadway, the National Football League (NFL), the National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB), and the XLIII Super Bowl Halftime Show with Bruce Springsteen. In addition, Mary has performed for three consecutive U.S. presidents, international royalty, and renowned leaders across the world. As one of the world’s new celebrated voices, Conklin is excited to welcome Mary to its National Convention stage as she performs for Distributors Saturday night.

Dino Kartsonakis
Saturday Night's Gala Awards Banquet

Known as “America’s Piano Showman,” Dino Kartsonakis’ piano music recordings and performances have earned multiple Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association and Grammy nominations. In addition, his music was featured on the Grammy-winning soundtrack for the movie, "The Apostle." He performs everything from traditional gospel to pop classics like "Unchained Melody," "The Entertainer," "Chariots of Fire," and the "Star Wars" theme song.

Reviews from Dino’s piano shows in Branson describe his performances as “a rare blend of extravagance and genuineness that will bring tears to your eyes.” As the “undisputed No. 1 piano performer in America today,” there’s a reason why he sells out shows in music theaters and concert halls across the world.

From Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to Moscow, Tokyo, and Israel, Dino has performed at many of the world’s prestigious venues. Conklin is thrilled Dino will share his awe-inspiring musical talent and showmanship with Conklin Distributors during Saturday night’s Gala Awards Banquet.
